According to Jim Henson, you make Kermit.
Disney+ will air a documentary on May 31st telling the story. Jim Henson-Idea Man, directed by beloved Ron Howard, will explore the life of an extraordinary artist.
Jim Henson was a creative genius best known for his work as the creator of The Muppets. Born on September 24, 1936, in Greenville, Mississippi, he developed an interest in puppetry from a young age. In 1955, while still in college, he created his first Muppet characters, including Kermit the Frog. Henson was also involved in other projects, including the movies, “The Dark Crystal” and “Labyrinth,” both of which showcased his incredible talent for puppetry and storytelling.
Sadly, he passed away in 1990 at the age of 53, but his impact on popular culture is immeasurable, and his creations continue to bring joy and laughter to millions of people around the world. (Who isn’t thinking about the Rainbow Connection light show on Spaceship Earth as you read?) Royce even got to meet Jim Henson and refined Joe Coconut when he was an intern with the muppets!
